Long, a dedicated member of the Texas Mosquito Control Association and strong supporter of student development, this scholarship is awarded annually to one outstanding undergraduate student. The recipient will spend at least one semester (or summer) during the academic year conducting research on arthropod vectors under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Each project is designed collaboratively between the student and mentor to ensure a meaningful, hands-on experience in both the laboratory and field. Awardees are expected to share their research by presenting at the following year’s TMCA Annual Meeting, and funding will be provided to support their attendance.
